Selecting your backlight color is easy - simply alternate the power on and off. There’s no complicated programming with a controller! The SS5's backlight fully illuminates the TIR optic, providing unique accent lighting that you won't find on other LED pods. Simple connections. All SS5 LED pods feature an integrated and waterproof DT type Deutsch-style connector on the back, and come with a 6-inch pigtail with bare leads. For installation, you can wire yourself, or select an optional Diode Dynamics wire harness. The Diode Dynamics SS5 LED Pod Sport White Combo delivers high-intensity auxiliary lighting in a durable, functional package. This pair of 5-inch LED pods uses custom-engineered total internal reflection (TIR) optics to collect and direct light where it is needed, improving efficiency and reducing glare compared with traditional reflector or simple-lens designs.

Each pod features a selectable backlight with eight color options. The backlight can be changed by alternating the power on and off, eliminating the need for a separate controller. When illuminated, the backlight fully lights the TIR optic for accent lighting and added visibility when the primary beam is not in use.

Built for demanding automotive applications, the SS5 LED Pod Sport features powder-coated aluminum construction, high-intensity automotive-type LEDs, and a pin-fin heatsink design. An integrated waterproof Deutsch-style connector is positioned on the back of each pod, with a 6-inch pigtail with bare leads for wiring. The built-in linking feature allows up to 50-inch bars to be assembled using multiple pods.
