The FOX Performance Series 985-24-012 rear shock is designed for select Jeep Wrangler applications with 4–6 inches of lift. Its application-specific valving is tuned to support a comfortable on-road ride, predictable off-road handling, and a connected driving feel with reduced vehicle sway.

A true internal floating piston separates the oil from high-pressure nitrogen gas to promote consistent, fade-resistant damping performance. FOX Racing Oil, a race-developed main piston, and an aluminum shock body support performance in demanding conditions while helping dissipate heat more efficiently than conventional steel materials.

The shock features black-anodized CNC-machined aluminum components, a heavy-duty hard-chrome 5/8-inch shaft, and hourglass bushings designed to allow increased articulation. FOX shocks are fully serviceable and resistant to corrosion and harsh environments, combining race-developed technology with long-term durability.

Built with FOX’s race-proven damping technology, the Performance Series shock is intended to increase off-road capability through extended drop-out travel in most applications while maintaining performance-focused road manners. This shock is listed for select 2011 and 2013 Jeep Wrangler applications.
