The FOX Performance Series 985-24-016 rear shock is designed for the Jeep Wrangler and tuned for vehicle-specific performance. Intended for applications with a 1.5-3.5inch lift, this smooth-body shock uses race-proven damping control to deliver a comfortable on-road ride and predictable off-road handling.

Application-specific valving helps maximize performance while supporting a connected ride with reduced vehicle sway. The design extends drop-out travel in most applications to increase off-road capability, while hourglass bushings allow increased articulation.

An internal floating piston separates the oil from high-pressure nitrogen gas for consistent, fade-resistant performance. FOX Racing Oil, a race-developed main piston, and an aluminum body support reliable operation and efficient heat dissipation. The shock also features black anodized CNC-machined aluminum components and a large, heavy-duty hard-chrome 5/8-inch shaft.
