The FOX Performance Series 985-24-036 rear shock is designed for select Jeep Wrangler applications with a 2.5- to 4-inch lift. Its application-specific valving is tuned to support a comfortable on-road ride, predictable off-road handling, and reduced vehicle sway. The shock is designed to increase off-road capability by extending drop-out travel in most applications while maintaining a connected ride.

A true internal floating piston separates the oil from the high-pressure nitrogen gas to help deliver consistent, fade-resistant damping performance. FOX Racing oil, a race-developed main piston, and an aluminum body support performance in demanding driving conditions. The aluminum construction also dissipates heat faster than conventional steel materials.

This Performance Series shock features a remote reservoir system for fast heat dissipation, along with black anodized CNC-machined aluminum components and a large heavy-duty hard-chrome 5/8-inch shaft. Hourglass bushings allow increased articulation, while the fully serviceable construction is designed to resist corrosion and harsh environments.
