The FOX Performance Series 987-24-012 front shock is designed for the 2018 and newer Jeep Wrangler JL with a 2–3-inch lift. Its application-specific valving is tuned to support predictable off-road handling while maintaining a comfortable on-road ride and a connected feel with reduced vehicle sway.

This smooth-body shock uses a 2.5-inch impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body with Type II clear-anodized plating. Aluminum construction helps dissipate heat, while the high-flow, velocity-sensitive damping design helps provide consistent, fade-resistant performance during demanding driving conditions.

An internal floating piston separates gas and oil to support controlled damping, and the hydraulic top-out piston helps manage shock movement. The shock also features a 5/8-inch hard chrome shaft and corrosion-resistant construction for durability in harsh environments.

Built to be fully serviceable, rebuildable, and re-tunable, the FOX Performance Series shock is developed with race-proven components and application-specific tuning for enhanced truck and SUV suspension performance.
